How The Band Came To Be
15 Times Dead are a five piece metal band based in Paisley, Scotland. They formed in January 2004 with
Jarrett McColl (guitar), Davey Scott (drums), and Jim Adam (guitar) looking for a bass player to join them to
complete the instrumental line up. Andy Ritchie took up the challenge of providing the low end for the
band, and musically things started to move along. Unfortunately, at these early stages of the bands existence
Jim was unable to devote as much time to the band as he would have liked to due to family commitments. So
in stepped Andy’s brother Tam Ritchie to help out on guitar as and when Jim was unavailable. As time went
on Jim found himself with less and less time available to the band and as a result Tam became more and more
involved. Eventually, the metamorphosis taking place in the band was complete and Tam became a permanent
member of the band.
With the band looking for a singer to complete the line up advertisements were placed anywhere and everywhere.
About April Scotti Watson strolled into the studio intent on making an impression and he didn’t take long
to convince the rest of the band that he could cut it. That completed the line up of 15 Times Dead and allowed
the band to start moving toward gigging and recording.
For a couple of years the band built up a reputation for strong live performances before Davey Scott and 15 Times
Dead parted company in early 2007. Dave Reeves answered the call to fill in for a few gigs till the band found a
permanent replacement. However, the impact made by Dave - power, dynamics, and the ability to breathe new life into
the songs - was so great that the band offered him a permanent place on the drum stool.
So the new 15 Times Dead was born.......and the story continues....
